Welke's Damon Piatek to Speak at World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara's Compliance Seminar
Welke Customs Brokers USA President & CEO will be the guest speaker at the World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara's (WTCBN) "Import Compliance Event" on Thursday, February 19, 8-10 a.m. at Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel, 6615 Transit Road in Williamsville.
Piatek will be speaking on various trade topics, including Customs Trade Transformation, compliance, benefits of trade agreements, and eliminating risk in import and export procedures. Attendees will also receive important information about ACE - Automated Commercial Environment - from with Peter Russell of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (USCBP), Program Manager, ACE Communications.
"With trade policies ever-changing, it is critical for manufacturers and shippers to be up-to-date on import and export rules and regulations," said Piatek. "Companies dealing in international trade should pay close attention to trade policy changes, as not only are penalties for infractions substantial, but they could also be leaving money on the table by not pro-actively taking advantage of trade agreements and other factors that are designed to help."
For those who can't attend the morning session, the seminar will be presented as a webinar from 1-2 p.m. later in the day.
